Using Navcoder 2.7.55 with the "Simple Interface"

I plugged into the Ibus behind my 2000 740 Sport's left rear light assembly. There's a 12 pin white plug there that has the white/yellow/grey Ibus wire. I also used the red/yellow wire there for power.

Initially Navcoder did nothing, got no response from the car. I checked my 12 volt power source and realized there was none. I hooked up a 12V battery charger to the power and ground wires coming from the interface and the ibus wire is plugged into the cars ibus.

Navcoder shuts down. Before it shuts down it says "Ibus Busy" in the lower right hand corner of the screen and there's a green dot in the upper right hand corner. However, after about 5 seconds Navcoder shuts down and wont come back up until I remove the 12V supply to the interface.

Interface problem ?? I went over the interface several times to triple check my work and it seems correct.

Also, smaller problem but would like to know. When I access the Navcoder log under the TOOLS menu, I get runtime error #53 and Navcoder immediately shuts down.
