Check out the Nav and A/V forum. You can download a disk image and update the navigation computer OS yourself, just like with the MKxx computers. The most current disk available is V29.1, which loads OS version 8.4.4 on the NAVI02 and 9.5.C on the NAVI03. (There is supposedly a newer V30 disk which loads version 9.6.04 on the NAVI03, but that is not available for download yet.)

You can not update any of the car's other components yourself, however.
