duplicate the problem The symptoms I have:
+ occasionally sound would cut out for a split second and restore
+ occasionally static destortion would come up in the speakers for a few sconds and restore
+ once static in speakers lasted long and was pretty bad, so I had to turn off and on the stereo to resolve.

I'm not able to reproduce those symptoms at will.

It seems something is acting up on MOST, and I wish it would already quit working, so it can be replaced. Dealer looked at the car twice, and they claim no fault codes were stored... They have no ground to replace anything, and I understand they position too.
